This is a wonderful tea to warm up with, especially in Fall and Winter. It has a strong Amaretto (cherry almond liqueur) aroma with a sweet, syrupy taste. The beautiful Jasmine scent was pressed into the green tea by mixing fresh Jasmine flowers with green tea over night. The flowers then discarded and new fresh Jasmine flowers were added for the 2nd round, 3rd round and so on until the floral sent balanced well with the tea base. Averaging 6-8 rounds for this tea. The less the residual flowers present in the finished tea product, the higher the quality of the craftsmanship.
In addition to the jasmine floral note, this tea also has the signature fruity sweet finish found in a traditional Taiwanese tea.
